Bronze sculpture
14 x 13 x 16 cm
3.5 kgA mature man encircled. He supports a fantasy animal inflatable which, in turn, we suspect is to support him as he takes to some imminent watery surroundings. Here the rubber ring is a symbol of support, of childhood need, of learning, adventure, fantasy and fun. We all need support at various stages of our lives…don’t we? As we progress in one way we regress in another.

The bay is so named as there are two entries created by two small islands forming a geographical knot (ligature). Signed and dated by the artist (reverse)
